Acupuncture Detoxification Clinic

What is Acupuncture Detoxification?

Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medical technique that has been successfully used for over 3000 years. In its application as a chemical dependency detoxification treatment, fine needles (approximately the size of two human hairs) are inserted in the surface of the ear. TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) believes that the body is governed by an energy force: chi. Application of needles helps regulate and restore the balance of the body's energy. Acupuncture works therefore, by reducing the symptoms of withdrawal as well as aiding in long term recovery. Clients then can fully invest in counseling, twelve step programs, and other support systems as necessary for maintaining sobriety.

Is Acupuncture Safe?

Acupuncture is very safe. The needles used by our Certified Acupuncture Detoxification Therapists are pre-sterilized and disposed of after each use.

What to Expect During Your Treatment

You will be seated in a comfortable setting. Five Acupuncture needles will be inserted in both ears. Most people find the treatment very relaxing, which brings on a feeling of well-being. Most clients are surprised at how relaxed they are during the treatment and how comfortable the treatment is. The tiny needles are specifically designed to be painless, and will be generally left in the ear for 30-45 minutes.
