Since 1989, Farnham has operated a school-based intervention Program in Oswego County Schools. This school-based intervention, or Student Assistance, is currently in place in five Oswego County School districts and 13 schools and is available to grades K-12. Counselors are located at designated school sites on a contract basis to meet with students at risk for substance abuse/dependency. A solution-focused, strength-based model is utilized, where program goals are to identify and increase protective factors, while reducing risk and fostering resiliency.
Individual counseling, group counseling and referrals are provided as needed.
